How Payments Work
Once you pay for your first session, payments going forward are effortless!
After each session, your tutor submits an invoice to our admin team, where we double check it.
You will receive an email from TutorCruncher, our software provider, to make payment online.
If you have direct debit setup, or have paid via card before, after that first payment you won't need to lift a finger! Your tutor still submits an invoice after each session, we double check it before approving it, the invoice is sent to your email and now the payments are automatically charged.
If you decide at any time you want to cancel, stop or reschedule tutoring, extra payments will be suspended. As long as you cancel 24 hours before a booked session, there's no charge!

With Seymour Tutors, paying your tutor is easy. Cancel or reschedule with complete flexibility. Payments are made online via card or direct debit and once you pay for your first session, payments going forward are effortless!
After each session, your tutor will submit an invoice to Seymour Tutors. Someone on our admin team will double check it before approving it. You will then receive an email from TutorCruncher, our software provider, with a copy of the invoice from them and a link to make payment online via card or setup direct debit. After submitting your card details using our payment provider Stripe or GoCardless, both as secure and safe as Paypal, your payment will be accepted.
After that first payment, if you decide to continue with us, you won't need to lift a finger! Your tutor still submits an invoice after each session, we double check it before approving it, the invoice is sent to your email and now the payment is automatically charged. So you don't have the hassle of entering card details every week, remembering to pay that one tutor each week or doing a tedious bank transfer after every tutoring session. Lessons are flexible and you can cancel at anytime. You're not on a subscription and we don't require payments in advance.

You will receive an email from TutorCruncher within 2 Business Days asking you to set up the authorisation of Direct Debit payments from your bank account by GoCardless when an invoice is issued.
This permits GoCardless to collect payment for tutoring from your nominated bank account when an invoice is issued.
You will always be notified before a payment is taken.

Authorise Direct Debit payments by filling in your details – including BSB and Account number.
Make sure to input your bank’s Transaction Account and not your Savings Account.

Yes! We use Stripe and GoCardless as our payment providers. They are tech giants used by the Fortune 500 companies and they are dedicated to keeping payments secure, safe and reliable. Yes! There is no lock in policy with Seymour Tutors. As soon as tutoring stops, no more payments will be added to your account.
Yes! You will have received an email from Tutor Cruncher asking for you to setup a password. If you have not yet set a password or have forgotten your password, you can set / reset it by clicking here.
Your username is your email.
Yes! We accept bank transfers however we require upfront payment of a full school term in advance (between 8 to 10 sessions in advance). If you choose to stop tutoring, the remaining balance will be fully transferred back to you. This allows us both to spend less time on administration and more time on what we love: tutoring!
Yes! All the details are located in our Terms of Service, but the 3 main policies are:
1. Consistent sessions generate results. If you skip more than 3 consecutive weeks of lessons with us, you'll revoke your tutoring position with Seymour Tutors.
2. Lesson timing is flexible, but if you fail to show up or cancel less than 24 hours before a lesson, you'll be charged a late-cancellation fee.
3. Payments are all completed via TutorCruncher, and you'll only be charged after a lesson. Please complete any lesson payments within a day after your lesson.
